140 Years in Prison for Man Guilty of Heinous Acts Involving Child
JONESBORO, Ark. — A man who was accused of raping a child on multiple occasions has been found guilty and sentenced to 140 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Jonathan Micheal Hitchcock, 33, was found guilty on Tuesday, August 13 on four counts of rape and one count of second-degree sexual assault. Court records show he was sentenced to 30 years on each of the rape counts, all to run consecutively. He was sentenced to 20 years on the sexual assault charge, also to run consecutively. In total, his sentence was for 140 years. He will receive credit for 465 days served in Craighead County jail, where he has remained since May 5, 2023.

Stolen scrap metal leads to Arrest

Man accused of cashing fraudulent $25,000+ check
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a Jonesboro man they said cashed a check worth over $25,000 that was determined to be fraudulent. On Wednesday, Aug. 14, Craighead County District Court Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge 38-year-old Richestra L. Gibbs with first-degree forgery, a class B felony.
Brookland chase ends with multiple Charges
Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 12, 2024 – A Brookland police officer got into a high-speed chase involving a motorcycle over the weekend. Chase Hussung was clocked on his motorcycle doing 80 in a 50 mph speed zone near CR 905. The officer flipped on his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to pull Hussung over, but he wouldn’t slow down, much less stop.

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Police are looking for a suspect after they said he robbed someone and fired a gun at them twice. According to an incident report from the Jonesboro Police Department, at around 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, Jonesboro police officers were sent to the University Market at 1715 East Johnson Avenue for a robbery.
