Pine Bluff paper mill is to be sold in $110M deal
Pactiv Evergreen Inc. has announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its Pine Bluff paper mill and Waynesville, N.C., extrusion facility to global paper and pulp producer Suzano S.A., a Brazilian company, for $110 million in cash, according to a news release posted on the Pactiv Evergreen site.
One More Day of Heat Wave
The heat wave will last one more day before we get a break in the high temperatures. A heat advisory will be in effect for southeast Kansas, most of Oklahoma, southern Missouri and all of Arkansas today. The advisories start between 11 and 1 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Coffeyville is expected to see a high of 99 with a heat index up to 109 today.

City approves multimillion-dollar loan for upgrades and road projects
PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - The city of Paragould is making a multi-million-dollar investment for its city. The city approved to borrow over $6 million in its last council meeting. Mayor Josh Agee said the loan was an Amendment 78 loan. He said despite the city having money in its reserve, it would save money by borrowing it.

WYNNE — Sealed bids for the Wynne High School early site package will be accepted on Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Nabholz Construction Services Office in Jonesboro. Sealed bids will be placed under review at that time. Bids received after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened.
