Two Warrick County Salons Hosting Free Back to School Haircuts
School will be starting up before you know it. If your kiddos need to get a nice haircut before they go back to school, you're in luck!. Summer break is nearing its end. It feels like just yesterday, the kiddos were getting out of school and eager to take advantage of summer. In about a month's time, kids will be returning to school. That means now is the time when parents are planning out their back-to-school shopping lists. Clothes, shoes, and school supplies don't come cheap, especially for those who have multiple children. Some families cannot afford all of the required school supplies. Throw in new clothes for school because they outgrew their clothes from last year, which can put many in a bind...especially with the way the economy has been. Then, you want to make sure your kiddos look presentable before school with a fresh haircut. All of that money adds up, and two Warrick County salons recognize that. So they want to help take a little bit of pressure off of your shoulders by offering free back-to-school haircuts!

An Indiana School System Asks Parents to Pick Up the Summer Sun Meals They Order
Summer can be a real challenge for parents, right? It feels like kids never stop eating! Just yesterday, we were driving back from Florida and decided to treat ourselves with a stop at McDonald's (a rare indulgence at our house). They had this deal—$5 for a meal with a double-patty burger, fries, four chicken nuggets, and a drink. My 11-year-old finished her entire meal. As for me, I only managed to eat half of my burger and a few fries. But wouldn't you know it, about 30 minutes later, she polished off the rest of my meal. And then, less than two hours after she ate, she was already saying she was hungry again!

It's not a jewelry store, not a bakery, and not a car wash. So what is moving into the corner lot at Vogel Road and Burkhardt Road on Evansville's East side?. Last January, LKASAM Investments, LLC filed a rezoning request with the Evansville City Council to build a Take 5 Car Wash on the lot currently occupied by the former Diamond Galleria jewelry store. Those plans were turned down and now the property is getting another makeover.
