New Book With Former Salem Resident Tanya Coats Konerman
I recently had the opportunity to interview an author from Salem. Her name is Tanya Coats Konerman, and she graduated from Salem High School in 1985. Konerman lived in Salem until she went to college at Indiana University and stayed there. She has a double major in Journalism and Psychology, with a focus on childhood development. Her home now is in Bloomington where she lives with her husband, who is an electrical engineer for Crane Naval Base. The couple have three daughters.

Police Investigate Man Found Shot In Car
Louisville police are conducting a death investigation after a man was found shot inside a car near a Jefferson County public elementary school Friday afternoon. Calls reporting a crash in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood came in around 12:39 p.m. When police arrived, they found a car in the 5800 block of Greenwood Road with a man inside that had been shot. Police said he died by the time he arrived at the University of Louisville Hospital.
Jury Indicts Man For Murder After Crash
A Louisville man has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury after police say he crashed his car into a woman’s car during a street race, killing her. Mohammad Talib, 34, is charged with murder, three counts of wanton endangerment, one count of criminal mischief, one count of racing a motor vehicle on a highway and one count of speeding.
