On 07/11/2024, The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single motorcycle crash with injuries near the intersection of Highway 35 and Budworth School Road. At approximately 3:15PM Joseph Fopp, 58, of Texico, Illinois was northbound on HWY 35 on his red, 2023, Harley Davidson motorcycle with a large group of other motorcyclists.

According to authorities, deputies received a call around 3:15 p.m. for the intersection of Highway 35 and Budworth School Road on reports of a single motorcycle crash.
Motorcycle And Truck Collide Causing Injury
On 07/13/2024, a motorcycle collided with a truck on the Hwy 151 exit 8 overpass in the Village of Dickeyville, as reported to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Gary Helbing, 62, was riding his orange 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Highway 61 when Earl Ludwig, 72, in a red 2013 Ford F150, pulled out into Helbing’s path from the off ramp, resulting in a collision. Despite Helbing’s efforts to avoid the crash, he hit the driver’s side of Ludwig’s truck and suffered severe injuries, needing assistance from witnesses at the scene before being taken to the hospital.
