Summer Showdown lets Boys and Girls Club members compete for fun at Logan
Every summer, kids from around the La Crosse area get together to compete with each other on the athletic field. On Friday, they represented different Boys and Girls Clubs at the annual Summer Showdown for this year happened on Friday at Swanson Field, outside Logan High School. Mrs. Fred Culp, Iona and Bob, Mrs. Elsie Clark and Maxine Gooch returned recently from a two-week trip to the Badlands, Black Hills, Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park and Lake Louise, Canada. They traveled through South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, Idaho and Canada. They stopped at Superior and spent some time in Minneapolis. They called on Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lalor and daughter at Webster, also Clinton Lalor who lives at Webster.
East Dubuque Council To Consider Golf Cart, UTV Ordinance
The East Dubuque City Council will meet tomorrow evening. One of the items on their agenda is to consider and possible approve an ordinance allowing golf carts and UTV vehicles to operate on East Dubuque city streets. One provision in the proposed ordinance includes anyone operating the vehicles to purchase an annual registration. The meeting begins at 6 o’clock at city hall.
Dubuque School Board To Consider $15-Million Dollar Bond Issuance
The Dubuque School Board meets tomorrow evening at the Forum on Chaney Road at 5:30.
