Boston Animal Care and Control found a missing bull on Aug. 20 in Roslindale, the unit said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, two months after it initially went missing.

The animal was first spotted in the middle of an intersection in Roslindale on June 20.

BACC said the bull escaped from its owner, who did not know that most farm animals are illegal to own in Boston. According to their social media, a days-long search for the animal involved officers canvassing the area and a thermal drone.

The post said the bull hid in thick brush until he was spotted and rescued by BACC. The unit said they made a cow-culated move to lure the bull into a temporary pen they installed. BACC and the MSPCA Nevins Farm Equine and Farm Animal Rescue Team worked together to moo-ve the bull into a trailer, which they used to transport it to Nevins Farm in Methuen.

According to Animal Control, the MSPCA is working on finding someone to adopt the bull.
