Jayson Tatum Jokes Pouring In After Awkward Celebration Following NBA Finals

On Monday evening the Boston Celtics officially clinched their 18th title in franchise history after a gentleman's sweep of the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.

Much like their other victories in this series, the game was not close by any means as Boston went up by 21 points at the half. They never looked back as they finished off the Luka Doncic-led Mavericks winning by a score of 106-88, and they also got a massive scoring outburst from star player Jayson Tatum who up until Game 5 had taken a back seat to Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday.

"It means the world," Tatum said on stage after the game. "It's been a long time. And damn I'm grateful."

However, while this is a major moment for him and his running mate, social media is not a fan of how he celebrated with many fans calling it "corny" or "cringe". Much like when the Celtics won in 2008 led by the "Big 3" and Kevin Garnett led a victorious roar of "Anything is possible" Tatum let a victory screech of his own.

The moment which has around 500,000 views on the app formerly known as Twitter has drawn a lot of criticism with one fan calling him "Max corny" while another called him "The corniest human being employed by the NBA."

Regardless of what the critics are saying, Tatum who had his best showing of the series scoring 31 points on 45.8% shooting while grabbing eight boards and dishing out 11 assists, is officially an NBA champ.
