MLB Network breaks down All-Star case for Red Sox OF Jarren Duran

The Boston Red Sox have been rolling over their last few series, and Jarren Duran's performance has been a big reason for that.

Duran's hitting steak (14 games) came to an end on Tuesday in Boston's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, but he's still been one of the best outfielders in the league this season.

Playing in every single game for the Red Sox so far in 2024, Duran has hit .288 with an .831 OPS, seven home runs, 10 triples, 37 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. His speed and athleticism make opposing pitchers, coaches and managers think differently about their approach.

The 27-year-old has been so impressive that even MLB Network is running segments about his legitimacy as an All-Star candidate.

As of the last update, Duran has the 19th-most votes for American League outfielders, and that's disgraceful. He deserves to be representing the Red Sox in Arlington, Texas this summer, and he might even deserve to start the game.
