Jayson Tatum Gets the Last Laugh

Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has taken heaps of criticism in his career and it didn’t stop just because he won a title this season. Covino & Rich, filling in for Dan Patrick this morning, discuss the shade being thrown his way on social media for being contrived and corny in victory but they believe that his brand new, NBA record breaking contract means he doesn’t need to care what the trolls are saying online.

Rich Davis: “Do you think Jayson Tatum cares that people make fun of him hugging the NBA title trophy?”

Steve Covino: “Not at all.”

Rich: “Do you think people care about people saying he’s corny?”

Steve: “No, but he has eyes and ears, and he’s a young man with a phone in his hand, and he’s on social media so he sees it. But at the beginning, middle and end of the day, he gets the last laugh with this super fat contract.”
