Jaylen Brown got back the ring he’d lost at the Celtics’ championship parade last month , and the All-Star guard is offering the two fans who returned it a chance to see the NBA champs receive their title hardware next season in person.
Brown had promised “a big reward” for the personalized “7uice” ring that went missing at the victory celebration in Boston on June 21.
“Got it back. Thank you to Luke and Adi,” Brown wrote on X on Tuesday, along with a photo of the returned jewelry. “I’ll see you courtside at the [ring emoji] ceremony.”
Brown also posted a video to his Instagram account showing him wearing a hoodie and sunglasses while meeting and hugging the fans on Causeway Street in Boston.
He presented them with a signed basketball and a jersey during the exchange.
The Celtics, who downed the Mavericks in five games to capture the franchise’s NBA record 18th league title, are expected to receive their championship rings at their home opener at TD Garden in October.
