Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens.

Team president Brad Stevens continued his habit of taking care of Boston Celtics players on Sunday, inking sharpshooting small forward Sam Hauser to a four-year, $45M contract extension.

As noted by NBC Sports Boston's Chris Forsberg, the deal joins a lengthy list of long-term deals earned by homegrown Celtics over the last year-plus.

Big man Robert Williams III, veteran journeyman Josh Richardson and longtime Boston fan favorite and former Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart were all teammates in Beantown for part of the 2021-22 campaign.

Williams was selected 28th overall in 2018 and spent five seasons with the Celtics. After eight years as the Celtics head coach from 2013-21, Stevens took over as team president ahead on June 2, 2021.

One of his early moves in the position was signing Williams to a contract extension on August 24, 2021. The "Time Lord" was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers with former Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon on October 1, 2023, though, in a deal that landed two-time All-Star Jrue Holiday in Boston.

Stevens also moved Moses Brown to the Dallas Mavericks on July 31, 2021, in exchange for Richardson and signed the Tennessee product was to an extension on Aug. 23 that year.

Richardson was sent to the San Antonio Spurs with Romeo Langford and future draft picks on February 10, 2022, in a package that brought guard Derrick White to the Celtics.

After his first seven seasons in green, Smart inked a long-term deal with the franchise on August 21, 2021. Stevens pulled off one of the most controversial and shocking trades in recent Celtics' memory two years later on June 23, 2023, though.

The guard was sent to the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team deal that brought one-time All-Star center Kristaps Porzingis to the city of champions .

Following underwhelming single seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder from 2019-21, Al Horford was acquired with Brown and a future draft pick by Stevens and Co. on June 18, 2021. The trade sent four-time All-Star Kemba Walker and multiple future draft picks to the Thunder.

Horford signed a long-term deal with the Celtics on December 1, 2022, was a huge part of the team's recent championship and will return in 2024-25 for his age-38 season.

Other members of the Boston rotation to sign long-term deals under Stevens' presidency in the last 380 days include superstars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, Payton Pritchard, Holiday, Porzingis and White.
