The Boston Celtics will enter the 2024-25 NBA season as champions. They will undoubtedly be hoping to retain their championship and make it back-to-back titles. However, multiple teams around them have improved their rosters this summer, with the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks both looking like genuine threats in the Eastern Conference.

As such, the Celtics will be banking on continued internal development from their roster. The majority of Joe Mazzulla’s rotation is young enough to continue taking steps forward in their development, including Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who are both still a year or two away from their prime.

During a recent episode of the “First to the Floor” podcast , the hosts discussed which members of Boston’s rotation could find themselves under increased pressure heading into next season. There’s a case to be made for everyone on the roster, from the aging Al Horford to the recently extended Sam Hauser.
