One of the Boston Celtics' two selections in this year's NBA Draft has inked his deal.

The Celtics signed power forward Anton Watson to a two-way contract.

The Celtics took Watson out of Gonzaga with the No. 54 overall pick.

Watson appeared in all five of the Celtics' Summer League games and averaged 11.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Watson will likely spend most of the season with Boston's G-League affiliate in Maine.

The Celtics' coaching staff will look to add Watson to the list of talent developed through the G-League. The list includes Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser and Neemias Queta who all spent time in the G-League before earning permanent roster spots in Boston.

Watson spent five years with Gonzaga where he played in 151 games and started 94. He averaged 23.7 minutes, 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and two assists per game while shooting 58.6% from the field, 30.7% from 3-point range and 62.7% from the free-throw line.

The salary for a two-way contract is $559,782 which is half of the rookie minimum.

Watson is the fourth member of the Celtics to be placed on a two-way deal, joining JD Davison, Drew Peterson and Jay Scrubb.

Analysis from Watson's NBA Draft Profile

Watson was tasked with a variety of defensive assignments, from centers to guards. He’s capable of bothering quick players on the perimeter and stopping big players at the rim. His shooting can come and go and he didn’t launch 3s at high volume. However, he was a top-notch finisher, able to complete layups through contact with either hand. He’s not one to handle the ball, but he makes good decisions as a passer.
