Weekend closure of SR 520 across Lake Washington in Seattle begins Friday night, July 26
Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians traveling across Lake Washington should plan ahead for a weekend State Route 520 closure. The closure spans from Interstate 5 in Seattle to 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill starting 11 p.m. Friday, July 26, and wrapping up at 5 a.m. Monday, July 29. The SR 520 Trail will concurrently close across the lake.

7-year-old among group of juveniles wanted for robbery in North Seattle
Seattle Police are searching for a group of juveniles, including a 7-year-old who wielded a hatchet during a robbery Monday afternoon, according to investigators. Police said it all started onboard a Metro bus traveling through North Seattle. According to a police report, some five victims told officers that 10 to 15 suspects started taunting them because of their race and perceived privilege.

The Seattle Art Fair returns to Lumen Field Event Center July 25–28, celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s diverse art community. The event brings together a hefty collection of artists, museums, and institutions for a weekend of inventive public programming. Previous art demonstrations at the Seattle Art Fair include original artwork tattoo demonstrations, live performances, sculptures, and more.
