College Football Fans Said The Same Thing About Colorado After Big 12 Preseason Poll Reveal

After a disappointing 4-8 season, Colorado will transition to the Big 12 next season. The Buffaloes have received plenty of hype this offseason, with some experts predicting Colorado make a run to the College Football Playoff.
The Big 12 Media Preseason Poll was released on Wednesday, and many fans were shocked that Colorado was projected to finish 11th out of 16 teams.
Utah was projected to win the conference, while Kansas State and Oklahoma State rounded out the top three. The Buffaloes were only ranked ahead of Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and Arizona State.
Colorado experienced a very tumultuous offseason plagued with players transferring out of the program and concerns surrounding head coach Deion Sanders' social media reactions to his former player's decision to do so. Colorado is also coming off a 4-8 campaign in 2023 and faces a difficult Week 1 matchup against FCS power North Dakota State.

Fans across social media had plenty to say about Colorado's preseason ranking. Some praised the media for not buying into the Coloraod hype, while others criticized the poll due to the bias against the Buffaloes.
"Finally an accurate poll with Colorado no where near that top," laughed one fan at the Buffaloes' ranking
"Has anyone told EA Sports this yet?" another fan asked, referring to the Buffs' No. 16 ranking in EA Sports' College Football 25 power rankings.
"@EASPORTS ranked Colorado higher *nationally* than the Big 12 media did in their own conference," said another fan mocking the Buffaloes' College Football 25 rank.
Even as many joked about Colorado's ranking, a few felt that the Buffaloes were overlooked by the conference's media.
"11 is a joke in the BIG 12…can't wait to get to the grass," proclaimed one Colorado fan who felt the Buffs were being underestimated.
"Colorado should be way higher," stated another Buffaloes fan.
Regardless of how the fans feel about the rankings, it will be quite interesting to see how Coach Prime will use the Buffaloes' No. 11 ranking to potentially motivate the program to prove the media wrong.
