Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders gives father Deion Sanders $78K watch as early birthday gift

Sometimes, when it comes to gifts, it’s just the thought that counts.

Unless you’re in the Sanders family … then the gift itself better be pretty fly.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders delivered his father, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, an early birthday present with an Audemars Piquet Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph watch ahead of Deion’s 57th birthday on Aug. 9. The watch sells for approximately $78,000 — a gift Shedeur can afford as his NIL value approaches an annual value of $5 million and he’s projected as a Top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The moment was chronicled on the Well Off Media YouTube channel.

“We’re going to be on camp (for my birthday),” Deion said. “So I’m going to expect something else.”

“Well you can just wrap that back up and open it again,” Shedeur said, laughing.

Deion’s attitude changed when he saw the watch.

“That cost a little something,” he said.

Colorado went 4-8 in 2023 in Sanders’ first season as head coach. The Buffaloes open the season on Aug. 29 at home against North Dakota State.
