Drought almost completely gone in Missouri
The drought in Missouri is almost completely gone, thanks to recent heavy rains. The latest drought monitor map shows only a small oval-shaped area of abnormally dry conditions that covers parts of Newton, Jasper, Barry, and Lawrence counties in southwestern Missouri. There’s also a thin sliver of abnormal dryness south of Branson along the Arkansas border.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey claimed Tuesday that the Washington University Pediatric Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital would shut down, citing an apparent announcement from a whistleblower. The university, however, disputes this claim.
