WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added two fugitives to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of either Fabian Martinez Toribio or Octavio Cruz Hernandez.

With new Defensive Coordinator Andy Avalos joining the Horned Frogs for 2024, the TCU defense was looking for an influx of depth and talent at the linebacker position, bringing in key targets from the portal, including Top 25 transfer LB San Diego State Cooper McDonald. The Justin Northwest grad spent two years with the Washington Huskies out of high school, playing in all 16 games of the 2020-21 seasons making 28 tackles including 5.5 for loss with 1.5 sack. McDonald then joined the Aztecs for another two seasons, playing all 24 games with 18 starts for the Mountain West squad. While at San Diego State, McDonald made 84 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 5 pass break-ups. McDonald will compete for a top spot on the interior linebacker depth chart with fellow transfer addition Kaleb Elarms-Orr and veteran Frogs like Johnny Hodges and Shad Banks.

DENTON, Texas – Mackenzie Kuehl placed in the top 10 in the javelin for the University of North Texas at the Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Kuehl, a graduate of Paola High School, had a throw of 137 feet for ninth place in the outdoor conference championships held in Atlanta.

Argyle ISD Board denounces changes to Title IX
The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees on Monday approved a resolution denouncing the United States Department of Education’s changes to Title IX over gender identity. Title IX states that “no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. In April, the Department of Education proposed redefining “sex” to include gender identity, which would allow biological males who identify as females to use the women’s restroom, and vice versa.
