Downtown Pittsburgh restaurant ordered to close in recent health department report
Caravan on Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh was ordered to close after a recent inspection. A report from the Allegheny County Health Department on July 17 cites multiple violations found in the restaurant. This is the second time this year that Caravan has been ordered to close. This Week in Pittsburgh History: Led Zeppelin Breaks Records at Three Rivers Stadium
When Led Zeppelin came to Pittsburgh in 1970, fans went so wild that police rushed into the crowd. Three years and a huge increase in fame later, the band was back in town, playing to a crowd of 40,000 at Three Rivers Stadium on July 24, 1973. It was the largest crowd to ever attend a concert in Pittsburgh at the time. The 15-song set included “The Song Remains the Same,” “Stairway to Heaven” and “Whole Lotta Love.”

Breed: Mixed Breed (Medium) She is a three-year-old medium mixed breed. This sweet girl came to us when her owner did not have time for her. Brighton is such a lovely dog to walk. She has wonderful leash manners. She also is very gentle taking treats and seems to like praise. Who wouldn’t like a little praise?! She would do best in a home as the only dog and with children over 13 years of age. Brighton can get a little overstimulated and run around with the zoomies!
