A nonstop route to the Northeast from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport returns just in time for this year’s Thanksgiving.

The direct flight from budget carrier Avelo Airlines runs twice a week between SRQ and the airport in Wilmington , Delaware (ILG) located about 37 miles southwest of Philadelphia.

“Our passengers have shared their enjoyment with flying Avelo on this convenient, reliable, nonstop route,” SRQ president and CEO Rick Piccolo said in a news release.

The airline announced in a news release the seasonal flights start Saturday, Nov. 23, and run on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It’s the second season Avelo has offered the SRQ to ILG flight.

“SRQ – We’re growing again,” Avelo Airlines founder and CEO Andrew Levy said in a news release. “We’re excited to continue growth in the Sarasota / Bradenton region and bring back our nonstop, seasonal route to Philadelphia.”

One-way fares start as low as $67 if booked for travel between Nov. 23 and 30, and must be purchased by August 13, according to the news release.

The news release said additional fees for checked and carry-on bags, assigned seats, and other optional services can apply. For more information, visit www.AveloAir.com .
