A Bradenton man turned himself in Friday after deputies put a warrant out for his arrest in connection with a fatal shooting at an Oneco bar.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Jordan Glanz, 27, on a second-degree murder charge. According to a news release, Glanz killed 49-year-old Deondrick Anderson in a shooting that stemmed from a car accident in the parking lot of Oneco Rose Bar in July.

The Bradenton Herald previously reported that Anderson was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, but the sheriff’s office says Anderson died from injuries related to the shooting on July 20.

After Anderson died, detectives upgraded Glanz’s charge from aggravated battery with a deadly weapon to second-degree murder.

Deputies said they responded to the parking lot of the Oneco Rose Bar at around 11:35 p.m. on July 10 after an argument over a car accident led Glanz to shoot Anderson in the torso.

Detectives said Glanz fled the scene but later contacted deputies and told them he shot Anderson in self-defense.

But after speaking to witnesses and reviewing evidence, deputies said they arrested Glanz and charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The sheriff’s office website shows Glanz was released from custody on July 17 before a new warrant on the second-degree murder charges was produced, resulting in Friday’s arrest. Further information about Glanz’s arrest was not immediately available Friday evening.
