Last week’s tornadoes caused massive damage in three of the Kewanee Park District’s parks, and the recovery effort might not be finished until the end of next month. The park board met Wednesday; the meeting had been postponed from the scheduled date of last Thursday in the wake of the July 15 tornadoes which devastated Windmont, Baker and Chautauqua parks.

Princeton Public Library Celebrates 17 Years with a Donor Wall
The Princeton Public Library marks a significant milestone this year, celebrating 17 years at its Peru Street location. In recognition of this anniversary, the library has unveiled a new donor recognition wall, designed to honor those who have made substantial one-time contributions of $20,000 or more since the library first opened its doors. This new installation, which beautifully complements the library’s Prairie theme, was created in collaboration with designer Elise Swinford and A&M Products. This thoughtful addition not only acknowledges the generosity of donors but also enhances the cultural aesthetic of the library’s environment.
