Mooresville Seeks Help after Vandalism Strikes Pioneer Park, While Lawrence Community Grieves Following Deadly Crash
Residents of Mooresville experienced a mix of news over the weekend, spanning from petty vandalism to tragic loss. "It was hard to hear that they decided to deface the front entrance of our main park," Mooresville Parks & Recreation Superintendent and Director Philip Cornelius told FOX59. With the estimated repair costs exceeding $11,000 and the sign unlikely to be restored before the Fourth of July celebrations—expected to draw a crowd of 6,000—the timing of the defacement could not be more inopportune.
