Suspect found in haystack arson investigation near Calexico
CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Investigators have found a suspect who may have started a haystack fire in Calexico, according to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office. On the morning of Wednesday, July 3, 2024, deputies were told of a fire around the area of East Cole Road and Bowker Road. The arson happened the night prior, according the Sheriff's Office.
Imperial County Sheriff Reports Wanted Fugitive and a Family Member Arrested in Winterhaven
July 5, 2024 – Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials report that on June 28, 2024, ICSO Deputies from Winterhaven Division assisted US Marshals in apprehending a wanted fugitive who attempted to flee. The suspect was wanted for several felonies committed with a firearm in Winterhaven. A family member was also arrested for aiding and abetting a felonious fugitive.
