Giorgio Kirylo, a former Marine and passionate San Diego community activist, has tragically passed away at the age of 38. Giorgio "George" Kirylo, was born June 1, 1986. After a career as a member of the elite United States Marine Forces Special Operations Command, he retired from the military in 2021 after multiple combat deployments. He then redirected his focus from battles overseas to addressing the challenges in his home city of San Diego, particularly those within what he deemed to be a broken governmental system.

CALEXICO — The Imperial Valley Arts and Health campaign has emerged as a significant initiative for promoting well-being and recovery within the local community through art. A successful art exhibit was held Friday, June 28, at Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center.
