Four Philadelphia men are charged in the shooting of a Linwood man early Sunday morning in Atlantic City.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Atlantic Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. for the report of a man shot, Capt. Kevin Fair said.

The 31-year-old victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of his wound, which was not considered life-threatening. His name was not released.

The incident began with a verbal altercation with staff and patrons from a local bar, an investigation found. Police did not name the bar.

Several men entered a vehicle and a passenger fired a gunshot from inside, according to the report.

Officers were able to get a description of the fleeing vehicle and suspects.

Officer Moustafa Maarouf later located the suspect vehicle in the first block of N, North Carolina Avenue.

Two occupants, 19-year-old Javier Saloma and 38-year-old Felix Gomez-Villa, were taken into custody.  Gomez-Villa initially refused to exit the vehicle, but ultimately did after the officers negotiated with him, Fair said.

An investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit led to a warranted search of the vehicle, where police found a loaded handgun and evidence of gunfire, Fair said.

Detectives identified two additional suspects, Alexis Jeromino Torres and Carlos Medina Morales.

Officers Bryan Victoria-Garcia and Jonathan Perez arrested Jeromino Torres, 22, on Monday in the 2900 block of Atlantic Avenue. Medina Morales, 23, surrendered to detectives the next day at the Clayton G. Graham Public Safety Building.

All were charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a defaced firearm and three counts of conspiracy. Gomez-Villa was additionally charged with obstruction.

They are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
