Two men were wounded in separate Atlantic City shootings within less than three hours Saturday night.

The first shooting happened during a block party in Stanley Holmes Village, sending several people running, according to witnesses.

Police were called to the 600 block of Howard Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert, Capt. Kevin Fair said.

Responding officers found evidence of gunfire but no victim.

"There was a lot of blood," a witness told BreakingAC.

A short time later, a man suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in a personal vehicle, Fair said.

The 35-year-old city resident sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. No further information was available, Fair said.

A second man was shot at 11:13 p.m. in the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue

The 36-year-old Deptford man was taken to the hospital with an injury not considered life-threatening.

An Atlantic City resident posted on Facebook that his car was stopped and his 15-year-old daughter handcuffed apparently as police searched for suspects.

"At this time, we are releasing no other information related to these investigations," Fair told BreakingAC in response.

Anyone with information about these shooting incidents is asked to call the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5766. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411, or 847411, beginning the text with ACPD.
