Carroll County Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

(Sac City) A Breda, Iowa, woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Sac County.

The Sac County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an overturned vehicle at around 6:18 p.m. in the North Raccoon River at Hagge Park.

According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office report, a towing service pulled the 2003 red Jeep Cherokee out of the river, and a deceased female, identified as 30-year-old Samantha Faylee Trimpe, was found inside the vehicle.

The direction of travel from tire patterns indicated no sudden braking or direction change before the Jeep entered the river. Trimpe’s body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Authorities say there is no indication of foul play.
