Trenton Gators Advance In District 23 Sr Legion Tournament
The District 23 Senior American Legion Baseball Tournament got underway last night at Aviston City Park. Trenton opened with an 8-6 win over the Aviston Conductors. Trenton advances to Friday’s semifinal against the Aviston Express at 6pm. The winner will advance to the Saturday championship, the loser will play the Conductors in an elimination game Friday at 8pm.

The drought in Missouri is almost completely gone, thanks to recent heavy rains. The latest drought monitor map shows only a small oval-shaped area of abnormally dry conditions that covers parts of Newton, Jasper, Barry, and Lawrence counties in southwestern Missouri. There’s also a thin sliver of abnormal dryness south of Branson along the Arkansas border.
