    Cape Cod Baseball League roundup: Hyannis erases early deficit for third straight win

    The Brewster Whitecaps had an early 5-1 lead over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks after two innings. But the Harbor Hawks (8-4) outscored the Whitecaps (5-8) 11-2 over the next seven innings for a 12-7 win on Saturday.

    Jaxson West (Florida State) had four hits (four RBIs, one double, one scored run), Austin Peay State's Jon Jon Gazdar (two RBIs) and Duke's Wallace Clark (one double) each added two hits, and Western Kentucky's Blake Cavil (two runs, one RBI) hit a homer in the second inning for Hyannis. Jason Reitz (Saint Mary's) picked up the win on the mound as he pitched two scoreless innings, gave up two hits, walked none, and struck out three.

    Nick Dumesnil (California Baptist) led the way with four hits (three scored runs, one RBI), Texas A&M's Max Kaufer (one run) added one triple, and Arkansas' Ryder Helfrick (three RBIs, two runs) hit a home run in the second inning for Brewster. D.J. Primeaux (Louisiana State) recorded his first loss of the season on the mound as he pitched 2.2 innings, scattered two hits, gave up one earned run, walked three and struck out three.

    Cotuit Kettleers 4, Wareham Gatemen 2

    California's Jarren Advincula (two scored runs, one RBI) and Louisville's Matt Klein (one run) each collected two hits at the plate for Cotuit (9-4). Gabriel Nard (Duke) had the win as the went two scoreless innings, allowed four hits, walked none, and struck out two. Cam Schuelke (Mississippi State) had the save as he pitched one hitless and scoreless inning, walked one and struck out one.

    Max Williams (Florida State) and Clemson's Jacob Jarrell (one run, one double) each had two hits for Wareham (9-4), which was 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Starter Braeden Sloan (Texas Christian) went four innings, scattered five hits, gave up two earned runs, walked one, and struck out five.

    Harwich Mariners 5, Orleans Firebirds 1

    Tommy Allman (Jacksonville) pitched 2.2 scoreless, hitless and walkless innings and struck out one for the win for Harwich (8-5). Cole Wisenbaker (Kansas State) picked up the save as he went two scoreless and hitless innings, walked one, and struck out one. Duke's Macon Winslow (two RBIs, one scored run, one home run) and Florida's Cade Kurland (one RBI, one run, one double) each had two hits.

    Loyola Marymount's Khadim Diaw (one run), UCLA's Roch Cholowsky (one RBI), and Sacramento State's J-P Smith each collected two hits, while Mike Mancini (James Madison) chipped in one double for Orleans (3-10). Starter Callan Fang (Harvard) pitched three scoreless innings, allowed one hit, walked two, and struck out five.

    Bourne Braves 10, Chatham Anglers 3

    The Braves trailed 3-2 after two innings, before they outscored the Anglers 8-1 over the next seven innings for the win. Ethan Conrad (Marist) was 4-for-4 (three runs, one RBI), while Notre Dame's Jack Penney (three runs) and Vanderbilt's Braden Holcomb (two RBIs, one run) each contributed two hits for Bourne. Tyler Fay (Alabama) recorded the win as he pitched five scoreless innings, scattered three hits, walked one and struck out five.

    USC's Austin Overn (one run, one double) led the way with three hits, while LSU's Ashton Larson (one run) and Augusta's Kyle Lodise (one RBI, one run) each had two hits for Chatham. Starter Evan Chrest (Jacksonville) pitched four innings, scattered six hits, allowed five runs, walked one and struck out four.

    Y-D Red Sox 7, Falmouth Commodores 5

    Louisiana State's Brady Neal (two scored runs, two RBIs) hit a home run, while North Carolina's Gavin Gallaher (one double, one run, two RBIs) and Arkansas' Wehiwa Aloy each chipped in two hits for Y-D. Aiven Cabral (Northeastern) pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, gave up two hits, walked one and struck out two for the win.

    Trent Caraway (three RBIs, one run) went yard in the fifth inning, while Karson Bowen (Texas Christian), Purdue's Luke Gaffney (one RBI, one run) and Nebraska's Dylan Carey (one double) each collected two hits at the plate for Falmouth.
