Juneteenth celebration set for Saturday at Dogwood Hills Park

A time of fun, fellowship, music, food and celebration is planned for Saturday afternoon at Dogwood Hills Park on North Douglas Avenue in Brewton — all in commemoration of the 2024 Juneteenth holiday.
Joe Watson, one of the event organizers, said those who plan to attend the event are in for a good time.
“There will be some good music to enjoy the afternoon with,” Watson said. “We will have some food vendors at the park, but people are welcome to bring their coolers and lawnchairs to enjoy to the event.”
Providing musical entertainment for the event that will go from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, will be Eklektic & DJ Lo.
The event is being hosted by City of Brewto and the Brewton Chapter of the NAACP.
“Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating the post-Juneteenth festivities with delicious food, great music, and a community atmosphere,” Watson said. “All are welcome!”
