    WindMill Bringing its Signature Hot Dogs Back to Brick This Year

    A popular local chain is preparing to make a triumphant reentry to the Brick dining scene. WindMill, beloved by fans for its signature hot dogs, is returning to the region after shutting down in 2019, reports Patch.com.

    The eatery plans to transform a defunct T-Mobile store, located at 905 Route 70 North, into the newest home for its signature cuisine. The space will allow 1,032 square feet for WindMill to greet and serve guests.

    WindMill’s marketing manager, Leann Bey, spoke with What Now Philadelphia about bringing delicious cuisine and welcoming atmosphere back to Brick. “We called Brick home for many years!” Bey states, explaining that Brick’s passion for the brand never died down. ”Our former Brick location was once our largest location. We have a devout customer-base in Brick who have been very vocal about wanting us to return to the area, and it was the top of our list when our new owner, Ralph Epstein, began looking into expanding after taking over the WindMill chain in October of 2022.”

    The WindMill team intends to adhere to the qualities that made the restaurant such a hit with Brick in the first place. Bey says “The new Brick location, although slightly smaller, will have all the same great ambiance and retro flare as our old Brick location. Our tag line has always been ‘Bigger is Better,’ but we believe BETTER is BETTER, and we’re going to be doing everything we can to make this new location run smoother, cleaner, and more efficiently than ever before!”

    While the new location is certain to delight existing fans, WindMill’s unique menu is sure to draw attention from new customers. Bey details what future regulars can look forward to, stating “For anyone unfamiliar with the WindMill experience, what you can expect is classic Jersey shore cuisine, with flavors that bring out nostalgia in all of our customers. For 60 years, we have been serving up our signature WindMill hot dogs (now in two different sizes) in addition to our locally renowned burgers, cheese fries, onion rings, milkshakes and other shore classics.”

    The WindMill team cannot yet offer an opening date, however Bey says the restaurant is hoping to start filling hungry stomachs before 2025, stating “We are hopeful that it will be opened within the year, with aspirations for this summer.”

    WindMill management is hoping that Brick marks the beginning of a new era of expansion. Bey states “We hope to expand even more! We hope to someday return to Freehold as well, and expand even further into Ocean County and beyond!”

    While expansion is an important aspiration for the brand, WindMill has no intentions of sacrificing quality for quantity. Bey sums up the restaurant’s ethos, saying “We pride ourselves on bringing happiness to all of our customers, young and old, through our shore-to-please favorites.”
