According to a release, a jury on April 12 found Joyner guilty of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Trial evidence showed Joyner and an accomplice planned to rob 20-year-old Jamel Delpiero Hayden of $250 worth of marijuana. When Hayden arrived at an agreed upon meeting spot on Lincoln Avenue, Joyner shot him. Hayden then crashed his vehicle into three parked cars. Joyner and his accomplice fled the scene.

After his release, Joyner is set to receive five years of probation.
