On the 14th anniversary of a Bridgeport homicide, a state lawmaker said Wednesday he is crafting legislation to help solve cold-case murders Sen. Herron K. Gaston says the measure will bear the name of Richard Gee, Jr., who was fatally shot on Railroad Avenue on July 17, 2010. "The law would use state and federal dollars to help Connecticut police departments hire retired homicide investigators to probe cold-case murders," said Gaston. Gee's family says the announcement has given them renewed hope of solving his killing. "It makes me feel so good to know my son's cold-case murder has not been forgotten -- and that we might finally get Justice," said Betty Baldwin. "
