    Brimfield Police to implement body-worn camera program

    BRIMFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Officers with the Brimfield Police Department will now wear body cameras while on duty.

    According to the Brimfield Police Department, every sworn officer will have a body camera on during patrol shifts. The goal is to enhance the documentation of interactions between officers and the public to ensure accurate accounts of incidents and promote a higher standard of conduct within the department.

    Brimfield Police say the body-worn camera program was funded through a $32,000 grant from the Executive Office of Public and Security.

    • Northfield Police Department – $7,670.00
    • Orange Police Department – $14,512.80
    • Warwick Police Department – $8,940.00
    • Whately Police Department – $4,197.50
    • Brimfield Police Department – $32,095.00

    Hampden County

    • Granville Police Department – $39,230.50

    Hampshire County

    • Belchertown Police Department – $58,705.83
    • Goshen Police Department – $26,050.00

    Berkshire County

    • Adams Police Department – $110,464.74
    • Hinsdale Police Department – $52,636.00
    • Lanesborough Police Department – $39,700.00
    • North Adams Police Department – $21,015.00
