The body of an elderly man was found in the rubble of an Elliot Park apartment complex days after it caught on fire.

Minneapolis Fire Department says it was told at 10:30 a.m. Thursday that one resident remained unaccounted for after a fire destroyed a four-story residential apartment building located at 1501 11th Ave S. on Tuesday.

The fire crew conducted another search of the fourth floor apartment unit the man lived in and found him dead under the remnants of the building's collapsed roof.

All four were hospitalized and were last known to be in serious but stable condition.

Dozens more were displaced, with some taking to GoFundMe to ask for community help finding new homes.

The man's name has not been released to the public. This is the second fire fatality in Minneapolis this year.
