The Mia is traveling back in time to the Regency era.

During "Bridgerton Days," the Minneapolis Institute of Art will briefly transform itself to take on the Regency-era accoutrement of Netflix's period drama Bridgerton.

On Aug. 29 (6–8 p.m.) and Aug. 31 (1–3 p.m.), the museum will host Bridgerton -themed events with lemonade, art-making workshops in its studios, and Mia guides in period-themed costumes to guide visitors through galleries with related art.

The free events will feature live music in the lobby from Daniel the Violinist on Aug. 29 and the Loring String Quartet on Aug. 31.

With both parts of the streaming hit's third season now out on Netflix, it's a good time to spend a few hours pretending to be Penelope or Lady Whistledown while wandering the Mia's galleries and offering an opinion on period art like Michel Garnier’s "Poorly Defended Rose."
