The Pavek Museum of Electronic Communication will bring Frankenstein's monster to life this fall.

The museum, which houses a collection of vintage radio and TV equipment, will present "A Minnesota Frankenstein" during its annual Pavek After Dark fundraiser. The live, Minnesota-tinged adaptation of Mary Shelley's horror classic will be brought to life by a crew of Minnesota broadcast veterans, emceed by WCCO-TV's sports director, Mike Max.

The rest of the cast will be announced at a later date.

The Oct. 19 event is the follow-up to last year's sellout adaptation of Orson Welles' legendary "War of the Worlds" broadcast.

This year's selection dovetails with the Pavek's pop-up Frankenstein exhibit, which will be on display at the Meet Minneapolis Visitor Center from Sept. 5 to Oct. 28.

The St. Louis Park institution's annual fundraiser event takes place from 6–9 p.m. at the Pavek Museum. General admission tickets, which come with a pre-show happy hour, cost $120. VIP tickets ($150) and VIP+ tickets ($200) are also available.
