    Man, 61, found dead after house fire outside of Duluth

    Police have identified the 61-year-old victim in a fatal house fire that happened in northern Minnesota on August 18.

    The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Proctor Fire Department were sent to a house fire in the 5300 block of Old Highway 61 in Midway Township around 11:30 p.m.

    After about two hours of fighting the fire, authorities found a dead man in the living room of the house. Police believe the man to be 61-year-old Michael Oneil. However, confirmation is still pending from the medical examiner's office.

    The house was heavily damaged and is considered a "total loss." No others were injured or died in the house fire. According to the State Fire Marshal, the fire does not appear suspicious at this time.
