"Zach got in a fight with a tree and the tree won," read an Instagram post from Minneapolis band Yam Haus on Aug. 29.

The band's guitarist, Zach Beinlich, was helping his dad clear debris after this week's storms in the Twin Cities, when "a thousand pound tree fell" on him.

Beinlich was rushed to the hospital after his parents "miraculously lifted it."

The band's update says they're "really grateful he's alive." In a post from a friend, shared by the band, Beinlich says he broke five ribs, his collarbone, and punctured his lung.

He'll be unable to play guitar for six to eight weeks, which changes the band's plans for the fall as Beinlich recovers from the accident.

While his injuries are serious, Beinlich also took his fantasy football draft seriously in the midst of the incident.

A text from Beinlich to FantasyLife.com's Paul Charchian has him explaining that while he was in the ambulance, he was thinking about his fantasy draft.

"After they gave me fentanyl," Beinlich wrote in the text message, "I realized I was on the clock in our league so I made my pick in the ambulance."
