Zion, IL – Zion Police Department officers swiftly responded to a violent armed robbery at Jewel-Osco on 1400 21st St. last Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Kebron Dennis, allegedly homeless but residing in and around Zion, stormed into the store, allegedly stole liquor, and attacked employees with a crowbar when they attempted to stop him. Despite the employees’ brave efforts, Dennis managed to flee the scene before officers arrived within a minute of dispatch.
