Pike man sentenced to 25 years in federal drug case
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to federal drug and gun charges. Joshua “Fudge” Habern, 41, pleaded guilty to possession of more than 50 grams of meth and more than 40 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute, as well as possession of a gun in a drug-trafficking crime. The charges stem from a raid by Kentucky State Police and Pikeville Police in September of 2022.

LOVELY — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office seized potted marijuana plants Friday afternoon at a residence in Lovely, authorities said. Sheriff John Kirk and Chief Deputy Chris Kidd responded to a tip about marijuana plants growing in plain sight on North Wolf Creek Road. Upon arrival, they discovered several cannabis plants on the property.

Three people are facing drug charges after police discovered about a kilo of meth during a traffic stop. Officials said the incident happened on June 20, when Kentucky State Police Post 9′s Criminal Interdiction Unit tried to conduct a traffic stop in Prestonsburg. After the vehicle took off, troopers reported they were able to find it at a home in Pike County. Approximately one kilogram of suspected methamphetamine was seized. Troopers also found 1.8 ounces of suspected fentanyl and money. Ahmad Moore, 25, of Ohio, Dean Blair, 23, of Georgia, Nevah Twitty, 20, were all charged with feeling or evading police, possession of marijuana resisting arrest, trafficking in a controlled substance and other charges and taken to the Pike County detention Center.
