YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two 18-year-olds have been charged after shots were fired in a park in York County. According to York Station Troop J, on July 13, at 7:58 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to Lock 12 at the intersection of Holtwood Road and River Road in Lower Chanceford Township for reports of shots fired.

Police identify victim of deadly crash involving moped on Interstate 81 South
MANCHESTER, Pa. — A 70-year-old York County man died of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 South Sunday night, State Police said. Richard Thornton Fletcher, of Manchester, was operating a 2015 Yamaha YW50F moped near Mile Marker 59.4 in Hampden Township at about 11:39 p.m. when he attempted to merge from the right lane to the left lane and was struck from behind by a 2023 Freightliner M2 medium-duty truck. The impact caused Fletcher to fall off his vehicle, according to State Police.
