BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce is giving a big fundraising boost to the new amphitheater planned for Events Park.

The department is giving the City $39.5 million in matching funds through the Enterprise Zone Incentive Leverage Act to help pay for improvements for the Sunset at Broken Arrow Amphitheater Project.

City officials said the Department of Commerce determined the project is more than $100 million revenue positive to the state through 2049.

The new amphitheater, planned near Broken Arrow Events Park at 101st and the Creek Turnpike with more than 12,000 seats, is set to open next year.
