Extradition hearing held in Custer County Court
Kindra Hauser Potter, age 32 of Broken Bow, appeared in Custer County Court on Monday, July 22nd. The State of Missouri had issued an arrest warrant for Hauser Potter on felony forgery charges and she was in court for the extradition request. The defendant, appearing with Chris Wickham, her court-appointed attorney, voluntarily agreed to the extradition that will occur within ten days. Hauser Potter also faces nine counts of felony forgery charges in Custer County that occurred in 2020 and she will appear back in Custer County Court on those charges at a future date.
Public restroom lease approved by Broken Bow City Council
Larry Harbour addresses Broken Bow City Council regarding the placement of public restrooms in a property he owns by the square. Public restrooms will soon be available to visitors of downtown Broken Bow and the city square, as a lease agreement was approved during Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.

Louis Burgher, MD, PhD, former Clarkson College president and hospital CEO, died July 19 at 79. Dr. Burgher served as president and CEO of Nebraska Health System, the organization that would later become Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine — the primary clinical teaching partner for Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center, according to a statement from UNMC.
