BRONSON TWP. — Michigan State Police responded to a report of a 14-year-old who allegedly stabbed members of his family and dog late Tuesday night at an address in the 400 block of Taggart Road.

The 911 call came in just after 9:30 p.m., listed as gunshots.

“Upon reviewing the reports, the injuries are minimal and labeled as small lacerations," said Prosecutor Zack Stempien.

The juvenile is in the Department of Health and Human Services custody while an appropriate placement is found. The Branch County Prosecutor’s office will later determine whether the teen will be charged or processed through the Juvenile Division of Probate Court.

Branch County Sheriff Deputy Joshua Olney and Bronson Police Officer Ricky Petsun responded to assist at the home.
