    2 men shot dead in 2 hours in the Bronx

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Two men were fatally shot over the weekend in the Bronx in separate incidents, according to police.

    NYPD officers responded to a 911 call on Sunday around 4 p.m. for a person shot near 2010 Bruckner Blvd. When they arrived, they found 52-year-old Jose Baez with a gunshot wound to the head.

    EMS responded to the location and took Baez to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was later pronounced dead.

    An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made, police said.

    In a separate shooting nearly two hours later, officers responded to a call about a man shot near 3125 Park Ave. Police found 41-year-old Raheem Blake with a gunshot wound to the chest.

    EMS arrived and transported Blake to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was later pronounced dead.

    No arrests have been made, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
