    Bronx bus driver whacked in face with water balloon, suspect sought

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Thursday released a photo of a man accused of whacking a Bronx MTA bus driver in the face with a water balloon last month.

    Just after 3 p.m. on Friday, June 7, the suspect approached a 65-year-old MTA Bus driver in the vicinity of Anthony and East Tremont avenues in East Tremont.

    According to officials, while aboard the BX36 bus the suspect struck the driver in the face with a water balloon.

    The suspect then fled on foot going eastbound on East Tremont to parts unknown.

    The driver sustained minor pain to the right side of his face. EMS transported him to Saint Barnabas Hospital.

    The suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
