Colon previously pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute it. He admitted to driving with another accomplice, Kenny Gonzalez, from Long Island to Queens where the two picked up just under four and a half pounds of cocaine.

Colon confessed that the two then drove north, planning to sell cocaine in New York’s Northern District, but were ultimately stopped and arrested in Ulster County. In addition to the prison sentence, Colon was ordered to serve a four-year term of post-release supervision.
